About the event
The exhibit “Illuminated Palettes” is presented by the Southwest Region of the Vermont Pastel Society, a regional branch of The Vermont Pastel Society.
Our “hub” has met monthly for many years and serves as a supportive and creative resource for our members. We are a varied group of artists, with interests in landscape, portraiture, still life and semi abstraction. And although we share a common passion for pastel, a number of the group work with other art mediums as well—oils, acrylics, mixed media, even sculptures may find their way to our meetings. This occasional foray into different media broadens us as artists and often brings a new understanding of what each medium can accomplish.
So it is in this spirit that we have decided to include in the current show both works in pastel and as well as works in other mediums. We are grateful to the Arlington Common for making this exhibit possible and giving us the opportunity to share our work with the community.
Free and open to the public. Light finger foods and beverages will be served.
