MOON OVER BUFFALO
Moon Over Buffalo is a fast-paced farce by Ken Ludwig, first performed in 1995.
It’s set in 1953 in a Buffalo, New York theater, where fading stage actors George and Charlotte Hay are touring with two plays in repertory. Their careers are struggling, but they get one last shot at fame when they hear a famous Hollywood director might come to see them perform. Chaos ensues as mistaken identities, romantic entanglements, drunken mishaps, and frantic costume changes threaten to ruin everything.
It’s essentially a backstage comedy about love, ego, and the desperate hilarity of live theater when everything goes wrong.
