Free community movie and discussion night, co-sponsored by the Martha Canfield Memorial Free Library and the Arlington Common
The Hundred-Foot Journey is a heartwarming film about a young Indian chef, Hassan Kadam, whose family opens a restaurant in a quaint French village—directly across the street from a Michelin-starred French eatery run by the strict Madame Mallory. What begins as a clash of cultures and cuisines slowly transforms into a story of passion, perseverance, and the unifying power of food.
Following the movie, the Martha Canfield Memorial Free Library will host a discussion about the film's topics of small town living, the clash between traditional and new, and, of course, cooking!
